This weekend could be the right time to shop for a new TV and extended warranty with a number of new movies set for release on Monday.
Coming to the high definition Blu-ray format next week are a whole host of titles that should satisfy fans of animation, horror and drama.
Featuring the voice talents of Reese Witherspoon, Seth Rogen and Hugh Laurie, Monsters vs Aliens tells the story of one bride-to-be who has her wedding day ruined when she is hit by a meteor that makes her grow to an extraordinary size.
Scooped up by a government program, she is soon joined by a number of other strange creatures and charged with the task of stopping an alien invasion. The disc comes with its own 3D glasses to maximise the visual effects of the movie.
Those looking for something scary may be more interested in the release of Sam Raimi's return to horror Drag Me to Hell, while other TV warranty shoppers might want to consider Kevin Costner's 1990 epic, Dances With Wolves.
