Home > Twin boys cause double trouble

Tracy and Richard Johnstone are used to dealing with double trouble. They have two lively twin boys - Kyle and Connor - who are four years old. The boys were playing in their front room in January this year when Tracy asked them to turn the television volume down.
They both grabbed for the remote control together and then tussled for it and the remote control flew out of their hands and hit the television screen.
As the television was then turned off, Tracy didn't notice the damage to the Toshiba 37" LCD until a little while later when she turned it back on and realised it wasn't working.
When a Domestic & General repairer came to look at it, he decided that the screen was cracked so badly that the television should be written off.
Luckily the Johnstone’s Domestic & General service plan was able to help them out by a providing a brand-new replacement. As the television was a year old and the 37" version was no longer available, they even traded up to a 42" screen.
Tracy commented, "The trouble with identical twins is that they always want what the other has and they have to do everything together. If one has the remote, the other wants it. But I think this has taught them to be a bit more careful. Thank goodness we took out a service plan; we are very grateful to Domestic & General for sorting things out so quickly."
