What computer equipment do you protect? (Back to top)
If you’ve got a PC, Computer Care will protect your base unit, monitor, mouse and keyboard. If you’ve got a laptop, Computer Care will protect your laptop and all internal hardware and components. You can also protect your printer and scanner for a small additional sum.
Will I have to pay more if I make lots of claims or have lots of repairs? (Back to top)
We don't believe in penalising our customers just because they make use of their protection. We do not raise our prices for people who make claims or need repairs. We want any customer to be able to make a claim without worrying about their fees increasing.

Can I get protection for office computers? (Back to top)
Computer Care can protect computers in home offices and small offices with up to five computers.
Is my computer too old to be protected? (Back to top)
You can take out a Computer Care protection plan on computers up to three years old.
What happens at the end of my plan? (Back to top)
You will be offered an annual renewal when your plan expires. This can normally be renewed every year for the rest of the appliance's life.
Can I use my own repairer? (Back to top)
The work of our repairers is monitored and guaranteed and we ensure that they carry public liability insurance. We can't be certain of any of this with your local repairer. This is why we prefer all repairs to be carried out by our approved engineers.
By using our own regulated network we can also ensure that costs are controlled, and this allows us to keep fees to a minimum without compromising customer service.

You can claim for up to £1,000 in repair costs per year.

How long will a repair take? (Back to top)
For calls made before 10am, we aim to provide a next-day service for PCs, and a three-day service for laptops and Macs.
How long will the repairer take to arrive? (Back to top)
If you call us before 10am, the repairer (PCs) or courier (laptops and Macs) will arrive the next working day.
For how long can I protect my computer on one plan? (Back to top)
Once your computer is protected, you can normally continue to protect it for its entire life.
